accredited/trained service dogs only. must stay on leash at all times. This is a conservation area and wildlife must not be disturbed by roaming dogs. Related: Oct/2018...parking lot is freshly solid-surface paved, with ADA picnic area and vault toilets. There is some area of rough gravel paving before the boardwalk across the lake, but it may have been solid-surfaced when recent work was done to replace the culvert under the road. There is an overlook deck at the shorline reached by the boardwalk that gives miles-wide (windy) look at the coastline.

I don't remember exactly, but I think it was something like $5.00 per car. There may be a yearly rate for a permit that will admit you to other California parks also.
