Pittsburgh Steelers offensive coordinator Arthur Smith has started his interviews for open head coaching positions in this cycle. This morning, Smith interviewed for the open Chicago Bears job, and on Thursday, the New York Jets will interview Smith.

Arthur Smith’s hat is officially in the ring in Chicago. The Bears announced that they have completed an interview with Smith for their head coaching vacancy on Wednesday. Smith is scheduled to interview with the Jets on Thursday.

Unlike the college job at his alma mater North Carolina, which Smith turned down, he at least has some interest in joining the Jets or Bears, as he’s taking the interviews.
