Gordon has gotten off to a dominant start in 2025, pitching to a 2.55 ERA in 42 1/3 innings over eight starts. He's fanned 25.3% of hitters and only walked 4.7% of batters. His 43.5% ground-ball rate offers a solid projection to his ability as a major league starter.
Isaac Paredes hit a tiebreaking solo homer in the ninth inning to lift the Houston Astros to a 2-1 victory over the Kansas City Royals on Tuesday night. The game was tied at 1 after a home run by Jeremy Peña in the sixth inning when Paredes led off the bottom of the ninth against John Schreiber (1-2).
