While reports from Monday night made it known that the Pittsburgh Steelers and safety DeShon Elliott had agreed to a two-year contract extension, that was no indication as of Tuesday that the Steelers were all that close to working things out with unsettled pass-rusher T.

ESPN's Adam Schefter joined The Pat McAfee Show on Wednesday to update the negotiations. "T.J. Watt is gonna get a strong deal from the Pittsburgh Steelers," Schefeter said. "... Both sides are working to make it happen and T.J. wants to make sure that he gets rewarded in an appropriate way."

The Pittsburgh Steelers’ talks with T.J. Watt seem to be progressing after he held out of mandatory minicamp. Watt sent a message that he wanted to be paid there, but ESPN’s Peter Schrager still thinks the deal gets done before training camp.
