The Florida Panthers are through to the second round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs after dismantling the Tampa Bay Lightning in five games in the first round.The Panthers are looking to defend their title as Stanley Cup champions after winning a championship in 2024.

Mackie Samoskevich moved up to the second line with Sam Bennett and Matthew Tkachuk to begin the third period. Evan Rodrigues as a result has dropped to the fourth line with Nico Sturm and Jesper Boqvist. The Maple Leafs have their first lead of the game, 3-2, with 2:51 left in the second period. Max Domi scored off the rush.

The Toronto Maple Leafs have taken a 2-0 series lead over the Florida Panthers with a 4-3 win in Game 2. A back-and-forth contest saw the Panthers take early leads of 1-0 and 2-1, but goals from William Nylander and Max Domi in the second period gave the Leafs their first lead of the night.
