The potential snowfall would not be like the dump of record-breaking white stuff that hit the panhandle on Jan. 21, 2025 where up to 10 inches fell.

Another strong cold front will bring snow up along the Florida-Georgia line. Residents and travelers in the Tallahassee area could start to see snowflakes as early as dawn on Sunday. North Florida and Georgia could see anywhere from a trace to 3 inches of snow if our current models don't change.

Areas with possible winter precipitation to watch for, such as freezing rain, snow, and ice potential, would be Live Oak, White Springs, Tallahassee, and Perry, just to name a few. However, Tallahassee would be the most likely city at this time for a good chance of actual winter precipitation.

The American GFS model has backed off from earlier snow forecasts, while the European (EURO) model continues to suggest a possibility of 1 to 3 inches of snow across Pensacola to Tallahassee in the Florida Panhandle.

Some models are showing a low possibility of some snow in some parts of Florida over the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday weekend.
