An 87th-minute goal from Harvey Elliott has given Liverpool a 1-0 lead after the first leg of their Champions League last-16 tie away to Paris Saint-Germain. It took Elliott 47 seconds after replacing Mohamed Salah to score the only goal, set up by a perfectly weighted pass from Darwin Nunez.

Elliott, who spent almost three months on the sidelines in the autumn due to a broken foot, has now scored in his side’s last three Champions League matches, with the Englishman also getting his name on the scoresheet against Lille and PSV in the group phase.
