Indiana American Water says there was a chemical feed explosion at their facility on Wayne Street, near the White River around 1:15 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 7.

The blast occurred shortly before 1:35 p.m. in Noblesville, Indiana, according to the city's fire department in a statement posted to X.

The Noblesville Fire Department has lifted a shelter-in-place order hours after an explosion was reported at a water treatment facility on Wayne Street.
