A man suspected of torching 11 New York City police vehicles in Brooklyn last week — the first of two such arson attacks in the last week — was previously arrested at pro-Palestinian protests and is wanted for damaging a statue at Columbia University last fall,

Police say the suspect they are looking for in the burning of nearly a dozen NYPD vehicles in Brooklyn last week is no stranger to law enforcement.The search continues for Jakhi Lodgson-McCray, who has been arrested several times before at protests in the city.

The NYPD on Wednesday named and released footage of a suspect, who frequently demonstrated at pro-Palestinian and Columbia University protests, in the recent torching of 11 police vehicles in a Brooklyn parking lot just down the street from a precinct stationhouse.
