India's HDFC Life Insurance reported a 14% rise in third-quarter profit on Wednesday, helped by growth in the sales of retail insurance policies.

Earlier, HCL Tech, Shoppers Stop and several companies announced their earnings results for the October-December quarter (Q3) of FY25.

HDFC AMC share price has fallen over 14% in one month and over 6% in six months. However, the HDFC Group stock has rallied 13% in one year and more than 81% in two years.

After the announcement, Bank of Maharashtra shares closed 3% lower at Rs 51.14 apiece on . The shares have so far dropped around 25.6% in the last six months.

The growth in profit after tax (PAT) was driven by a record 24 per cent rise in HDFC Life's individual annual premium equivalent (APE).
