Birmingham police continue to investigate the shooting death of 51-year-old Derek Burpo that occurred shortly before 9 p.m.

The shooting happened in the 400 block of Roebuck Drive at about 9:45 p.m. The victim was identified as Derek Marcus Burpo, 51, of Birmingham. His car contained pizzas he was set to deliver.
