Florida's 2025 back-to-school sales tax holiday will begin on Friday, Aug. 1, and end on Sunday, Aug. 31. This holiday occurs annually every August. Retailers do not have the option to opt out. For a wide range of retail products, sales tax will not be charged on purchases of $1,500 or less when purchased for noncommercial home or personal use.

The 2025 holiday will run for two full weeks, beginning at midnight on Friday, August 1, and ending at 11:59 p.m. on Thursday, August 14.
