Lionsgate and Starz are about to be split from each other, but the entities have extended their exclusive theatrical output deal.

Lionsgate has extended its multi-year theatrical output deal with Starz as the two studios prepare for full separation. Under the terms of the new deal, Starz will continue to have exclusive rights to Lionsgate's theatrical films in the first pay television and SVOD windows,

Sunrise on the Reaping,’ the Michael Jackson biopic and ‘Ballerina’ are among studio titles headed to Starz's premium channels and services.

Lionsgate has extended its multiyear agreement with STARZ for the studio’s theatrical films, as the two prepare for a full separation.

Under the terms of the extended deal, Starz will continue to get exclusive rights to Lionsgate’s theatrical films in the pay-1 and SVoD windows, which will be on an “accelerated basis closer to their initial theatrical release”.
