Stock market today: S&P 500, Dow futures back away from records as Fed cheer fizzles
S&P 500 futures ( ES=F) fell roughly 0.3%, after the benchmark index ended at an all-time high. Dow Jones Industrial Average futures ( YM=F) traded steady on the heels of notching its own record close. Leading the way lower, contracts on the tech-heavy Nasdaq 100 ( NQ=F) dropped 0.5%.

SolarEdge Technologies is down 5% after shares of the solar-power-equipment maker were downgraded to Underperform from Hold at Jefferies and the price target cut to $17 from $27. S&P 500 futures are up 0.3%. Dow Jones Industrial Average futures are adding 0.2%.

Futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average slipped 18 points, effectively trading flat, and S&P 500 futures ticked down 0.1%. Both gauges had rallied to new highs on Thursday as investors mulled the Federal Reserve’s half-point interest-rate cut. Contracts tied to the tech-heavy Nasdaq 100 were also in the red, sliding 0.2%.
