The Browns dropped into the top five of the draft after last week’s loss to the Cincinnati Bengals. The team currently has a good chance of finishing within the top three picks. The Browns currently have nine picks in the draft. The team needs to use them to help overhaul the roster.

Cleveland Brown’s 2024 season was an epic failure, and much of that was due to what they got from the quarterback position. In the first seven games of the season, the Browns had quarterback Deshaun Watson under center,

“The Browns may look to take a quarterback early in the draft. And if Sanders is already off the board, Ward could be the next QB to be taken. Ward could have a smooth transition to the NFL after playing two seasons at Washington State (2022 and 2023) and another at Miami (2024).”

As it stands heading into Week 17, the Browns will have the fifth pick in the draft, moving up two spots thanks to Week 16 wins by the Panthers and Raiders. They will be guaranteed at worst the fourth pick if they lose to the Dolphins in Week 17 and Ravens in Week 18.

The Browns' five game losing streak has them in position to solve their biggest roster issue via the 2025 NFL Draft. Cleveland desperately needs to find a quarterback they believe can propel them into the future.
