This is how astronauts trained for NASA’s Artemis II mission, which will send humans back to the moon for the first time since Apollo 17 in 1972.
Training for the Artemis II flight took place at the Johnson Space Center in Texas, and began soon after the crew was named in 2023.
This will be Jeremy Hansen’s first trip to space — and he gets to aim straight for the moon. One of two mission specialists on Artemis II, Mr. Hansen will also make history as the first Canadian to circle around the moon.
