A rapidly strengthening storm could evolve into a bomb cyclone, unleashing blizzard conditions in the Midwest and strong winds across much of the central and eastern United States.
The National Weather Service issued a blizzard warning at 2:04 p.m. EDT on Saturday valid from Sunday 2 a.m. EDT until Monday 8 p.m. EDT for Ontonagon and Houghton counties.
Whiteout and impossible travel conditions are expected Sunday afternoon, evening, and night for all of southeast Minnesota and North Iowa
On Saturday at 2:04 p.m. EDT a blizzard warning was issued by the National Weather Service valid from Sunday 5 a.m. EDT until Tuesday 8 a.m. EDT for Alger, Luce and Schoolcraft counties.
A Blizzard Warning will last until 4 am on Monday for Pine, Douglas, Burnett, and Washburn Counties, until 7 am on Monday for Bayfield, Sawyer, and Price Counties, and until 1 pm on Monday for Ashland and Iron Counties.
