Police were called to the Christiana Mall in Newark around 6:43 p.m. local time Saturday, where they found three individuals with gunshot wounds in the area of the food court.

At 6:43 p.m. police were dispatched to the Christiana Mall at 132 Christiana Mall in Newark, Delaware, with reports of a shooting inside the mall’s food court, officials said.

Brio Italian Grille, which has operated at the Christiana Mall since November 2010, has permanently closed, according to a phone message on the restaurant's answering machine on Aug. 19.

According to the Delaware State Police, troopers responded to the food court of the Christiana Mall at about 6:45 p.m. EDT, the News Journal reported.
