Sitting in front of the backdrop adorned with the Knicks’ logo, Jalen Brunson repeated two themes for a little more than seven minutes. Yes, the selections of the Knicks’ point guard and teammate Karl-Anthony Towns as starters for the Eastern Conference in next month’s All-Star Game in San Francisco are individual accolades.

The two Knicks named to the starting lineup of the All-Star Game next month have their eyes on also joining Walt Frazier and Earl Monroe in a far more historical classification. Jalen Brunson and Karl-Anthony Towns became the first Knicks teammates to be tabbed as starters for the Eastern Conference — for the Feb.
