'Shoot me,' CT prison guard shouted at police while using kids as shield in standoff, warrant says
The Connecticut correction officer shouted for police to shoot him as he used two children as shields, according to an arrest affidavit.
Police said the man choked his wife and took two kids from a Newington home prior to a police chase and a standoff in Stamford that lasted more than seven hours.
