MAINE, USA — We're a few days away, but we have to start talking about snow, especially in southern Maine, on Tuesday. There is a decent signal that this may be the first substantial snowstorm on the coast this season. But there is still a lot we have to iron out.
Rain and snow will enter Maine today, with most of the precipitation during the afternoon. Temps will warm up. Sunshine will return for most on Monday with breezy conditions before our first major winter system looks to bring impacts to interior and coastal locations on Tuesday.
A potential nor’easter could leave as much as a foot of snow in the Poconos in Pennsylvania, the Catskills in New York, and parts of Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Vermont, a forecaster said.
Snow is expected to begin Tuesday morning and continue late into the night, with up to 8 inches in the forecast for some areas.
