NASA astronaut Matthew Dominick, currently aboard the International Space Station, captured footage of a meteor burning up in Earth atmosphere.
Skies across Northeast Ohio lit up with a fireball Tuesday morning, caused by an asteroid weighing about seven tons.
"For a few seconds I honestly thought something had exploded close to our aircraft," the traveler told Newsweek.
People in 10 different states, including Ohio, saw a fireball March 17. Some in Ohio even heard the noise it made. The National Weather Service of Cleveland confirmed the fireball was a meteor.
