MUNCIE, Ind. (WANE) – A Muncie man was shot and killed by police Tuesday after allegedly pointing a firearm at officers and then barricading himself in a home.
When asked why he fled a traffic stop, court document say the suspect replied, "You didn't have a reason to stop me. I was on public property."
Charles Zearbaugh was pronounced dead at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital on Tuesday evening, according to Delaware County Coroner Gavin Greene.

Man fatally shot during standoff with Muncie police
After gunshots were heard about 8:50 p.m., the man was taken to IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
