The 2026 Winter Olympics are officially underway. Even though the Opening Ceremony won't be held until Friday evening in Milan, events began on Wednesday, including round-robin curling and Alpine skiing men's downhill training.
The 25th Winter Olympics is taking place in Milan and Cortina in Italy and will feature a record 116 medal events.
The three-day event is a chance for the top 10 skating countries to bring home a medal — and for viewers to get acquainted with the sport's different disciplines and biggest names.
