UW Health’s Med Flight started in 1985 with a crew that responded to an emergency in Adams-Friendship. Now, 40 years later the program’s served more than 50,000 patients.

One person is dead and another was taken to the hospital by Med Flight following a two-vehicle crash in Dodge County on Thursday morning, Aug. 7.

A man was taken to the hospital by UW-Med Flight after he suffered serious injuries in single vehicle motorcycle over the weekend, the Grant County Sheriff’s Office reported on Monday.

An 18-year-old female passenger in the Volkswagen was pronounced dead at the scene, and the 19-year-old male driver was flown via UW Medflight with life-threatening injuries. Both were from Minnesota.
