Vikings head coach Kevin O'Connell has made some moves in adding to the staff on both the offensive and defensive side of the ball.

On Jan. 30, the Minnesota Vikings surprised many by parting ways with general manager Kwesi Adofo-Mensah following their failure to reach the playoffs in the 2025 NFL season.ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter reported,

According to NFL reporter Daniel Rotman, Minnesota was “moments away from trading” JJ McCarthy to the Las Vegas Raiders last offseason. That move never materialized, with Rotman adding “there was internal disagreement” about the club drafting McCarthy in 2024.
