Chase Elliott and Ross Chastain were involved in an altercation at the beginning of last weekend’s EchoPark Automotive Grand Prix. Since, there’s been much debate about the incident, and the duo’s response to their kerfuffle.

Ross Chastain said he made a mistake at the start of last weekend’s Cup race at Circuit of the Americas that led to him spinning Chase Elliott’s car. Chastain spoke publicly for the first time about the incident Friday at Phoenix Raceway.

After looking at replays of his Lap 1 incident at COTA, Ross Chastain called the move a big error, and wishes he hadn't made the move, which spun Chase Elliott from the top-five. Chastain says he's cleared the air with Elliott.
