Several people have died after a Niagara Falls tour bus crashed in New York state. More than 50 people onboard were “ejected” or have been trapped, police said, as rescuers scrambled to free passengers stuck beneath the coach. A state police spokesman said there were “multiple fatalities, multiple entrapments and multiple injuries”.

Multiple people have died after a tour bus crashed on the New York State Thruway in western New York, according to New York State Police.

Several passengers were thrown from the bus as the windows shattered, while some became trapped in the wreckage.
