Klarna heads to Google Pay, giving consumers more Buy Now, Pay Later options in apps and websites.

Google Pay was a rebrand of this setup and arrived in 2018. The 2018 version of Google Pay was a continuation of the Android Pay codebase, which was a continuation of the Google Wallet codebase.

Amazon, Barnes and Noble and Kobo will likely adopt Google Pay within their Android apps in the coming days, but e-reading apps issued by major publishers will likely take longer.

It's called “Ask someone else to pay” and it does exactly what it says it will, which is to let other people conveniently pay for something on your Play Store account.

Google replaced Google Wallet with Android Pay in 2014. Android Pay was available on smartphones from the start, so users didn't need to download a separate app. It was also easier to use.

There is nothing more frustrating than having issues with your Google Pay, especially if the store doesn’t allow cash payments or you don’t carry any cash.
