A 15-year-old boy has been seriously injured in a stabbing in Birmingham. West Midlands Police said it was called to Alum Rock Road just before 20:45 GMT on Friday. The force described his condition in hospital as "critical but stable".

A man has died after a car struck a wall in Wolverhampton, police said. Officers were called to the crash on the A449 Penn Road in the city at about 17:22 GMT on Saturday. The driver of the black Ford Focus, a 41-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene, West Midlands Police said.
