A 15-year-old boy has been seriously injured in a stabbing in Birmingham. West Midlands Police said it was called to Alum Rock Road just before 20:45 GMT on Friday. The force described his condition in hospital as "critical but stable".

Police made 179 arrests and recovered 650 vehicles in January as part of a campaign against road crime in the West Midlands. West Midlands Police said 400 of the vehicles were uninsured and 135 were stolen, and the team recovered stolen cars worth £674,000.

A man has died after a car struck a wall in Wolverhampton, police said. Officers were called to the crash on the A449 Penn Road in the city at about 17:22 GMT on Saturday. The driver of the black Ford Focus, a 41-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene, West Midlands Police said.

Police have said that a fire in a school toilet is "suspected of being started deliberately". Emergency services said they were called to a school, believed to be Richard Lee Primary School, on The Drive in Coventry on Monday morning.

Two people have been injured in a shooting near Wolverhampton Wanders' Molineux Stadium. The incident happened on Staveley Road in Whitmore Reans on Thursday night. A woman in her 30s and a man in his 20s suffered minor injuries.

A woman and two children were taken to hospital after a crash which left a car on its roof. Paramedics said they were called to the accident on Lutterworth Road near Bramcote, Nuneaton, Warwickshire just before 09:45 GMT on Wednesday.
