Queen Sirikit, the glamorous mother of Thailand’s King Vajiralongkorn, died on Friday night aged 93. Her late husband King Bhumibol Adulyadej was Thailand’s longest-serving monarch and much revered across the southeast Asian country. He was succeeded by the couple’s oldest son, King Maha Vajiralongkorn, after his death in 2016.
