Donald Trump's address to Congress was met with protests led by Democrat Melanie Stansbury. She held a sign reading 'This is Not Normal,' highlighting opposition to Trump's actions, including ending foreign aid and banning trans athletes.
The sign was only visible for a few seconds before Rep. Lance Gooden (R-Texas) noticed it and ripped the sheet of paper out of Stansbury’s hands. Gooden, who has represented Texas’ 5th District since 2019, then tossed the sign into the air.
Stansbury could have traded the four-word sign for a four-letter word, and Vegas odds would favor the Stansbury-Gooden fight going one round to the Farmington Phenom. Gooden is the type of politician who could launch a congressional inquiry on whether any of the neighborhood dogs like him.
