A scheduled ICC event, set to take place in Lahore on Nov 11, has been cancelled with the uncertainty surrounding India's participation in the Champions Trophy.

Days ahead of a visit by the International Cricket Council’s (ICC) security team to Pakistan, to study the situation for the Champion’s Trophy next year, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has officially communicated that it will not send the Indian team to Pakistan for the tournament.

The BCCIs non-participation in the ICC Champions Trophy prompts a Hybrid Model, with matches relocated to Dubai due to security concerns.

The BCCI have reportedly informed the International Cricket Council (ICC) of their decision against travelling to Pakistan for the eight-team tournament, that will take place from 19 February to 9 March next year.

The PCB chairman Mohsin Naqvi in a press conference had said that his board has not received any official communication from the BCCI, but it is the ICC's prerogative as the principal organisers to intimate Pakistan about the latest development.

The BCCI has informed the ICC about India's inability to travel to Pakistan for the upcoming Champions Trophy 2025.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India has informed the Pakistan Cricket Board that India is unlikely to travel to Pakistan for the ICC Champions Trophy. The BCCI, awaiting government clearance, prefers to play its matches in Dubai.
