Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce said Wednesday that he never seriously considered retirement after last year's loss to Philadelphia in the Super Bowl.

Arguably the biggest transaction of the offseason for the Kansas City Chiefs was star tight end Travis Kelce pushing off retirement and deciding to come back for his 13th NFL season. The 35-year-old confirmed his decision to ESPN's Pat McAfee, who read Kelce's personal message to him aloud live on his "Pat McAfee Show" back on Feb. 27.

Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce said it "wasn't a hard decision" to hold off retirement and return to the team, saying he still has "a lot to prove."
