Teel made his major league debut on Friday night for the Chicago White Sox and his former teammate Marcelo Mayer had a nice message for him on Instagram.

When Chase Meidroth, another prospect who was acquired by the White Sox in the Crochet deal, was brought up in April, Meirdroth told Teel he might need a collared shirt for his major league arrival, and Teel gave the infielder one of his own.

In a heartwarming clip posted by the White Sox, Teel called his parents to tell them the good news. He first called his mom, asking her if she had any plans, and — when she said no — telling her she needed to book a flight to Chicago.
