Atlanta Falcons owner Arthur Blank brought back a franchise legend when he decided to hire Matt Ryan as the team's new president of football, but the move does not have a 100 percent approval rate.

ATLANTA (AP) — Atlanta Falcons owner Arthur Blank said Thursday that former quarterback Matt Ryan will be one of the candidates interviewed for the franchise's newly created position of president of football.

After hiring Stefanski, interviewees Robert Saleh (Titans), Jeff Hafley (Dolphins) and Jesse Minter (Ravens) all landed jobs. The Falcons didn’t interview Mike McCarthy, who has won a Super Bowl and who went to the Steelers.

The Falcons leaned into franchise legend Matt Ryan to help secure Kevin Stefanski for the head coaching job.
