After a week of below-normal temperatures, North Texas is heating up again. Areas like Meacham and Denton hit 100 degrees Friday, with heat index values topping 100 across the region. If temperatures reach 105 degrees for two straight days,

North Texas is in for another sweltering weekend, even without an official heat advisory. The entire Metroplex and much of East Texas are expected to experience extreme heat, with feels-like temperatures reaching up to 109 degrees in some areas.
