A manhunt ended in Texas when a Houston man accused of shooting and killing a deputy serving a warrant on him in the parking lot of a Dollar Tree, was fatally shot by police.

Authorities allege Robert Lee Davis III, 56, shot Brazoria County Deputy Jesus Vargas from a vehicle in southwest Houston Wednesday morning. Davis fled the scene, and Vargas was later pronounced dead.
