Ellis County continues to assess damage and clean up from the severe weather that hit Ennis and Waxahachie especially hard. Here’s what we know:

One person was killed and several were injured following severe storms that rolled through Texas during the first half of the weekend.

Severe storms moved through North Texas on Saturday morning leaving a trail of damage in its path. At least one person is dead and three others are in the hospital after winds topping 80 miles per hour were recorded in some areas.
