Prince Harry is allegedly planning to change his surname from Mountbatten-Windsor to Spencer. A friend of his revealed that the Duke wishes to adopt his late mother, Princess Diana’s, maiden name to distance himself from his royal roots.

Mountbatten-Windsor is the British royal family’s official surname used by some descendants of the late Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip.

Harry, the Duke of Sussex, believed that the passport delays were the result of British officials blocking the applications over the use of the Sussex surname and HRH titles (his or her royal highness) for his children, the newspaper said, citing an unnamed source.
