That said, with the team announcing Tommy Rees was getting promoted to offensive coordinator, it makes sense Stefanski would resume calling the plays.

The New England Patriots are reportedly hiring Cleveland Browns offensive assistant Ashton Grant as their new quarterbacks coach, according to CBS Sports’ Jonathan Jones. Grant is a Connecticut native who attended Assumption University in Worcester. So this is a homecoming for the man set to replace T.C. McCartney.

Grant has been with the Browns since 2020. He joins new Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel who spent the 2024 season as a consultant with Cleveland.

The Patriots are hiring Ashton Grant as their quarterbacks coach, Jonathan Jones of CBS Sports reports. Grant also interviewed for the Packers' quarterbacks job this offseason. He joined the Browns in 2020 as the team's Bill Willis Coaching Fellowship recipient and extended his time in the same through through 2021.
