AMD's RDNA 4 GPU fiasco has already seen pulled presentations and mysterious delays, and a new March launch date just announced points to the company waiting to see what NVIDIA does with its RTX 5070/Ti cards.

AMD announced its next-generation graphics cards, the RX 9070 and RX 9070 XT, at CES 2025, but curiously, neither of the two RDNA 4 graphics cards was present during AMD’s keynote, despite vendors showing off their new cards on the show floor with redacted specifications.

The Radeon RX 9070 Series, the first GPUs from AMD to leverage its new RDNA 4 architecture, haven't been released yet because they are too expensive relative to the competition, according to new speculation brewed by a forum post from a PCGH insider who claims that the Radeon RX 9070 and Radeon RX 9070 XT have been delayed for reasons that include "unclear marketing funds" and trouble between AMD and its retail partners.
