Police were called to the 5600 block of East 69th Street around 6:30 p.m. where they found a man with a gunshot wound. The victim was taken to the hospital with critical injuries, but died several hours later, according to Sgt. Philip DiMartino, spokesperson with the Kansas City Police Department.

Kansas City police are investigating a shooting that critically injured one person on Montgall Avenue near East 73rd Street.

KANSAS CITY —Just after 6p.m. Saturday, police were dispatched to a shooting in the 2700 block of Garfield, according to KCPD Captain Jake Becchina.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Kansas City police detectives are investigating after a man was killed following a shooting Friday night. Police officers responded to a shooting call just before 6 p.m. in the area of 75th and The Paseo. When officers arrived on scene they were directed to a vehicle that was stopped in the southbound lanes of The Paseo.

Detectives have now taken over the case, which KCPD is considering a homicide. KCPD also says that the investigation reveals that there was an altercation between two individuals that knew each other that led up to the shooting.
