Unity was the message of the night Wednesday as Mayor Cherelle L. Parker and other city officials held a town hall to chart the likely difficult path ahead for community healing and rebuilding after last Friday’s devastating plane crash in Northeast Philadelphia.

The Roosevelt Mall will reopen Wednesday afternoon, days after a medical jet crashed near Roosevelt Boulevard and Cottman Avenue and killed seven people. Later tonight, the city will hold a town hall meeting for residents impacted by the crash.

The impact area where a medical transportation plane crashed in Philadelphia last week will hopefully reopen on Wednesday, according to city officials. Adam Thiel, the city’s managing director, said during a news briefing Tuesday that the National Transportation Safety Board has finished its work at the site.
