Apple plans to release a new Apple Immersive Video featuring Metallica, with Apple retail stores offering a preview

It’s from real concert footage recorded during the last of the band’s Mexico City gigs, on September 29, 2024. Apple recorded the show using 14 camera rigs, shooting at 8K resolution, with views across the stage and the arena.

The Vision Pro is officially set to receive another “immersive experience” – this time from Metallica, which filmed the work at a Mexico City concert last year. Apple disclosed Metallica’s namesake Vision Pro release (plus different projects for the high-end headset) in a brief announcement.
