A company owned by the country’s sovereign wealth fund is poised to team up with TKO, which owns Ultimate Fighting Championship, the kingdom’s latest foray into pro sports.

TKO is reportedly close to launching a boxing league with the Saudi Arabia Public Investment Fund. Tariq Panja and Kevin Draper of the New York Times report that TKO and the Saudi Arabia Public Investment fund are close to creating a boxing league.

Saudi Arabia and its Public Investment Fund could team up with the UFC to create a new boxing league. According to a report from the New York Times, the two parties could join forces via TKO Group Holdings Inc.

TKO Group are reportedly nearing a launch of a new boxing league in collaboration with Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund (PIF). The UFC and WWE combined in September 2023 to form TKO Group Holdings,
