Corey Christiansen, APS’s public information officer, stated the cause for the outage was “potential suspicious activity” spotted within the network Monday.

The entire Aurora Public School District is now on day three of no internet or phone service. Some employees noticed some potentially suspicious activity within their network and reported it on Monday.

The district is making the decision to keep students in class as they predict the internet outage will be out for more than a week.

Aurora Public Schools will operate on a 2-hour delayed start for the rest of the week amid a districtwide internet and phone outage.
