Eaton Fire initially started 6:18 p.m. Jan. 7 in Los Angeles County. Since its discovery a week ago, it has burned 14,117 acres. A fire crew of 3,392 has been working on site and, as of Tuesday evening, they managed to contain 35% of the fire. However, investigations into the cause are ongoing.

Updating maps of Southern California show where wildfires, including the Palisades and Eaton fires, are burning across Los Angeles.

Additional water tankers and scores of firefighters arrived at the Los Angeles area on Monday ahead of fierce winds that were forecast to return and threaten the progress made so far on two massive infernos that have destroyed thousands of homes and killed at least 24 people.

As wildfires continue to burn in Los Angeles, support, resources and additional firefighters from all over have poured into the city. That includes from some likely lesser-known fire departments: those on tribal reservations across California.
