KILGORE, Texas (KLTV) - Police have released the name of a man they say accidentally fired a flare gun while attempting to shoplift from Walmart.

A man has been arrested after trying to shoplift from a Kilgore Walmart and inadvertently firing a flare gun he was holding, police said.

He was arrested for his prior warrants, as well as disorderly conduct, theft of property and unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon.
