Florida's 2025 back-to-school sales tax holiday will begin on Friday, Aug. 1, and end on Sunday, Aug. 31. This holiday occurs annually every August. Retailers do not have the option to opt out. For a wide range of retail products, sales tax will not be charged on purchases of $1,500 or less when purchased for noncommercial home or personal use.

Florida's back-to-school sales tax holiday will run from Aug. 1-31 this year, a change from the two-week holiday held previous years.
